CPP to launch campaign on September 21

Tamale, Sept.11, GNA - Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, Flag bearer of CPP, has announced that the Party would launch is national campaign on September 21 with a rally in Accra, and introduce his running-mate to the electorate.

He explained that CPP was registering card-bearing members in all constituencies in the country while strengthening the Party structures to ensure that those who would attend the launch of the national campaign were genuine Party members.

Dr Nduom was addressing a press conference in Tamale on Thursday after visiting Gushiegu, scene of the recent political violence between supporters of NPP and NDC.

He also visited Savelugu in Savelugu/Nanton District and Pusiga in Upper East Region.

Dr Nduom said the Party would not hire or convey bus loads of people for its national launch since its registration exercise had ensured that it had an army of voters who were well prepared to win more souls for the Party.

On the Party's agenda for Northern Region, he said all the abandoned projects initiated by the erstwhile CPP Government would be revived while school compounds would be constructed from Kindergarten to Senior High School level, equipped with modern libraries, laboratories, ICT Centres and kitchens.

Dr Nduom said when elected, the next CPP Administration would develop the Mole National Park to meet the standards of an international tourist centre and rehabilitate the Damongo-Fufulso road in West Gonja District.

Additionally, he said, a CPP Government would build factories in the North to provide employment to the youth. 11 Sept. 08
