The Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], Peter Boamah Otokunor, has kicked against move by government to introduce Comprehensive Sexuality Education [CSE] in government schools.

He was emphatic that the move is an attempt by government to introduce and accept 'gayism and lesbianism' into the Ghanaian culture – something he said former late President John Evans Atta Mills and former President John Dramani Mahama had frowned upon.

Peter Otukonor who was speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ said his party will forever express their disapproval of the new Comprehensive Sexuality Education subject.

According to him, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo can introduce and impact such knowledge to his grandkids.

“He [President Nana Addo] should gather his grandchildren and teach them about homosexuality so it remains in his family,” he told host Kwesi Aboagye.

Beginning next year, pupils in all public schools, including 4-year-olds will be given Comprehensive Sexuality Education. Officials say the subject content would be age-appropriate and empower pupils with values that would protect them from sexual harassment.

But the programme has come under intense criticism receiving bashing from a section of the public including church leaders with many describing it as a deliberate attempt to introduce homosexuality to Ghana.
