Position Summary:

As a Business Journalist, you will be responsible for researching, analysing, and reporting on key business trends, market developments, and economic events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, write, and deliver high-quality business news articles, features, and reports.
• Analyze financial data, market trends, and corporate performances to provide accurate reporting.
• Conduct interviews with industry leaders, economists, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure all content adheres to journalistic ethics and editorial standards.
• Collaborate with editors and team members to develop content strategies.
• Monitor global and local economic developments for timely reporting.
• Utilize content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools.
• Optimize content for SEO and align with digital media best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a journalist, preferably in business reporting or financial journalism.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, economic policies, and corporate structures.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to simplify complex financial topics for a broader audience.
• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of SEO and digital media trends is an added advantage.
