Position Summary:

Superweb Technologies Limited is looking for a dynamic and driven General News Journalist to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate will possess strong investigative skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering timely, accurate, and engaging news stories.

As a General News Journalist, you will be responsible for covering a variety of news topics, including politics, current affairs, business, and human-interest stories, ensuring that our audience stays informed and engaged with relevant news.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, write, and deliver compelling news stories on a range of topics, including politics, business, health, social issues, and current affairs.
• Conduct interviews and gather information from reliable sources to produce well-rounded, insightful articles.
• Cover breaking news and events in real time, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with key news sources, including government officials, experts, and other stakeholders.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in local, national, and international news.
• Ensure all content adheres to journalistic ethics, accuracy, and editorial standards.
• Collaborate with editors and other team members to refine and enhance stories for publication.
• Utilize content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools.
• Optimize content for SEO and ensure it aligns with digital media best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, English, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a journalist, with a focus on news reporting.
• Strong writing, editing, and interviewing skills.
• In-depth understanding of current affairs and the news cycle.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools.
• Knowledge of SEO, digital media trends, and social media platforms is an added advantage.
