Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Multimedia Journalist with a passion for business news. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial markets, economic trends, and business strategies. You will be responsible for creating compelling content across various platforms, including digital and video.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cover business events, including seminars, launches, and press conferences, etc, both locally and internationally.

2. Research, write, and produce engaging business news articles, features, profiles, and analysis pieces for multiple platforms including online, video, and social media.

3. Conduct interviews with industry experts, business leaders, and analysts to provide insightful and accurate reports.

4. Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure timely coverage of breaking news and in-depth analysis of business trends, develop story ideas and angles.

5. Utilize multimedia tools to create interactive and visually appealing content.

6. Stay updated on the latest business news and trends, providing context and background for our audience.

7. Engage with our audience through social media, using multimedia tools such as video, audio, and photography and driving conversations on business topics.

8. Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards, ensuring accuracy and fairness in reporting.

9. Verify facts and ensure accuracy in reporting business news.

10. Meet deadlines and working efficiently under pressure, especially during live events.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.

2. Strong writing and communication skills, with a focus on business journalism.

3. A keen interest in financial markets, economic trends, and corporate developments. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

5. Excellent research and interviewing skills.

6. Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills, including multimedia storytelling techniques.

7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially in reporting business statistics and facts.

8. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to cover business events.

9. At least 2 years’ experience covering business stories.
