The General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu is outraged at a statement issued by the NDC and directed at the Asantehene, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II.

The statement which was signed by former Chief of Staff in the erstwhile Mahama administration had debunked claims by the Asantehene that he persuaded former President John Mahama to concede defeat.

This has generated a lot of controversies with some groups in the Ashanti Region demanding a retraction and apology from the opposition party.

John Boadu adding his voice to the debate queried: "Can Mahama speak this way to the chief in his hometown"
