The Founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Pastor Dr. Mensah Otabil has said the suit filed against him following the collapse of Capital Bank does not constitute evidence against him.

Receivers of the defunct Capital Bank, Pricewaterhouse Coopers has sued Dr Otabil, his church and fourteen other Directors and Shareholders of the defunct bank to recover monies to the tune of over GHC400m given them as loans.

Commenting on the issue for the first time to his church members during the Tuesday night service, Dr Otabil said the full truth will be known soon.

“First of alI can’t explain anything to you because I’m in court we will allow the process to continue and hopefully the full truth will be known. There’s space for peoples opinion but you know when you go to court you are not only dealing with peoples opinions, you are dealing with facts so it’s going to be interesting.

“The only thing I want to say just briefly is that a suit or when somebody sues you is not an evidence neither is it judgement, it is just somebody’s opinion and there will be defence and other things. So follow closely how things will proceed and how they’ll end.

“The last time I said God is good and people didn’t like it, so this time I don’t know whether to say God is good but I can definitely say the devil is bad So that can also be quoted.”
