Expatriate businesses that attended the Ghana Expatriates Business Awards and were expected to appear before the five-member Adhoc Committee probing the alleged cash for seat saga today did not show up.

It is not clear what might have informed their action.

At least some twenty representatives from the various expatriate businesses were expected to appear before Tuesday’s sitting to assist with investigations into the alleged cash for seat at the Ghana Expatriate Business Awards that was held in Accra some few weeks ago.

The Committee chaired by the Majority Chief Whip, Kwesi Ameyaw Cheremeh, was forced to end today’s sitting abruptly after representatives from the expatriate business community failed to turn up.

Hon. Ameyaw Cheremeh in a brief remarks prior to adjourning the sitting said the expatriates will be re-engaged for a new date for the hearing.

But kasapafmonline.com is well informed that the expatriates are demanding for a closed-door engagement with the Committee, hence, their decision not to turn up for today’s sitting.

Spokesperson for the Committee, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah to journalists after the adjournment that the demand of the expatriates will be considered.
