The Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, International Evangelist and President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, has urged Ghanaians to cast their votes based on values and not personality, religious affiliation, or social background.

“I would admonish every Ghanaian to vote on values—not how good-looking someone is, not their complexion, religion, or background. We must vote on values,” he said.

He said this at a press conference in Accra on Friday, ahead of an upcoming crusade titled “Jesus is the Answer Crusade: Jamestown Missions 2024.”

The event, organised by Royals for Christ (R4C) Missions in collaboration with Rev. Dr Tetteh, is scheduled for December 26 to December 28, 2024, at Jamestown Park, Mantse-Agbona, in the Greater Accra Region.

R4C, a non-denominational Christian organisation, seeks to win souls for Christ, support church growth, and train and equip leaders and church workers.

Rev. Dr. Tetteh underscored the importance of a peaceful, transparent, and values-driven electoral process and urged the citizenry to prioritise righteousness, unity, and collective good during the elections.

“We must avoid insults, animosity, and tension. My prayer is that by Sunday or Monday morning, the results will reflect the voice of the people. Righteousness exalts a nation, and when the righteous lead, the people rejoice,” he said.

Referencing 2 Chronicles 7:14, Rev. Dr Tetteh called on Ghanaians to humble themselves, pray, and seek God’s guidance to ensure a successful election.

He prayed for all the flagbearers and cautioned against the “misuse” of prophecies.

“I pray for their safety and that the will of God prevails. As much as I believe in prophecies, we must not misuse them to influence elections. Prophecies should guide, not dictate, our decisions.”

Rev. Dr. Tetteh urged Ghanaians to invest in education and raise future leaders capable of taking on national responsibilities.

Reflecting on the backgrounds of the two leading candidates in the upcoming elections, he said, “Today, the two forerunners are from the North. This should inspire all of us—South, East, and West—to prepare and educate our children for leadership roles in the future.”

Sharing his connection to Jamestown, Rev. Dr. Tetteh revealed, “Jamestown is my place of birth. It’s always special to return home. By God’s grace, my birthplace is globally recognised.”

The “Jesus is the Answer Crusade” holds deep significance for me. This crusade is close to my heart. We are coming to preach the gospel of Jesus, and I believe only a relationship with Christ can truly transform our world.”

He encouraged Ghanaians – the sick, the poor, and those seeking hope- to attend the event to experience God’s power, stressing, “Our world needs healing, and Christ is the answer.”
