The SRC Women's Commission of Central University headed by Miss. Stephanie Asare held a seminar dubbed "woman of worth" on the school's premises.

The seminar was aimed at dealing with issues such as mental health, the actualization of potentials, fashion/branding and forgetting about the ugly past.

In Stephanie's keynote address, she said the seminar came to campus at the right time looking at the criticism women are receiving due to the unfortunate statement made by actress Moesha Boduong on CNN.

Speaking on the topic "Emotional well being and mental health among young women," Ms. Nana Abena Korkor Addo, a mental health counselor and a teaching assistant at the University of Cape coast, cautioned students against the stigmatization of people with mental health issues.

Abena further advised the audience present at the seminar to be careful about the things they post on social media because as a victim of Social Media nude leak, that experience is something she wished had never happened.

Serwaa Amihere from GhOne Tv took her turn to educate students on the topic "Turning an ugly past to a brighter future". She advised students to never stop learning and dress appropriately at all times because one might not know who is watching.

Serwaa recalled how she had to start as a production assistant/errand lady at GhOne Tv but with determination and persistence, she was able to weather the storm and her tireless efforts were crowned with a news anchoring role at EiB Network and has never looked back henceforth.

The central university SRC Week continues with mouthwatering activities such as Face of CU, cooking competition, rep your old school, Artiste night etc.
