Chairman Wadie to contest for NPP’s 1st Vice Chairman

Mr. Michael Omari Wadie, a businessman based in Accra has appealed to delegates to vote for him to become the First National Vice Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) come July this year when the party goes to Congress.

The First National Vice Chairman aspirant of the ruling party made this known to pressmen at the party’s headquarters when he picked his nominations forms ahead of the contest. “I will ensure that our grassroots, polling station and constituency executives get what they deserve in winning the NPP power,” the former Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency chairman said.

“We need to bridge the gap between our party and government,” he added.

Among his many credentials as a true party person includes; member of the Danquah-Busia Club, polling station chairman(Dzorwulu School), ward chairman (Dzorwulu electoral area), constituency chairman (Ayawaso West Wuogon), a member of the Greater Accra Regional Executive Committee and a long standing member of the NPP national communications team, appearing on many national media networks. He is a founding member of many political pressure groups including, Ghana Youth Movement (GYM), Coalition of Democratic Forces(CDF), Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG), SAVE ECG NOW among many others.

Some party members thronged the party headquarters to give him their full support. An elated first vice chairman aspirant thanked them and mentioned that he needs their support, prayers and votes to represent their interest as first vice chairman.

Mr. Wadie, in addition, disclosed that he was a founding member for the establishment of Tescon branches in the Central University College, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and Zenith University College among others.

Chairman Wadie added that if the delegate gives him the mandate, he would sincerely collaborate with the party functionaries, government appointees, such as Ministers, MDCES, MPs and other party executives to ensure that the party wins the 2020 and subsequent general elections.
