Assembly of

the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, is the key note speaker of the event.

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Chicago congregation, is a merged

congregation of both Bethel and Trinity Presbyterian churches. This timely

merger came into fruition when the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev.

Prof. Emmanuel Martey (MTh. MPhil. PhD) visited Chicago in September 2011.

Rt. Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey (MTh. MPhil. PhD), who sincerely believes

in the Presbyterian Church of Ghana’s motto “That They all May be One” John

17:11, started arbitration between the elders of both Bethel and Trinity

churches. His persistent determination and vision for the Chicago

congregation finally resulted in a peaceful unification of the two churches.

Rev. William Ofosu-Addo, Director of Missions and Evangelism officiated

the first Divine Service of the merged church on November 6, 2011 at 4130 S

Indiana Ave., Chicago IL. 60653 (The congregation’s place of worship)

Pastor the Church.

As we celebrate the “naming” of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Chicago

on May 8th through May 11th, we aspire to building an indigenous

Christian Community and also uphold the centrality of the Word of God through the

enablement of the Holy Spirit.
