Busunya (B/A), June 2, GNA - Nana Okofo Nyarko Gyabaa II, Chief of Busunya, has urged Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief executives to make a clear distinction between their administrative and political party functions. He cautioned political party leaders and supporters against turning assembly offices into party offices where they will frequent and discuss party matters, saying such attitude would adversely affect the work of the Chief Executives. Nana Gyabaa was addressing the people at a forum organised to welcome the District Chief Executive, Mr. Kwadwo Adjei-Dwomoh, into office.
He appealed to assembly members and heads of departments to support the chief executive to facilitate the rapid development of the area. The chief assured the DCE of the support of the traditional authorities so he would perform to the expectation of the people. Nana Gyabaa appealed to the DCE to support the people to construct a market to enhance internal revenue generation. Mr. Emmanuel Opoku Wiafe, Assembly Member, appealed to the District Assembly to provide accommodation for teachers of Busunya Senior High School.
Mr. Adjei-Dwomoh paid tribute to the assembly members for voting to confirm him and advised them to bury political differences and appealed to the people to guard against activities that could affect the prevailing peace of the area.
