Oblogo, July 2, GNA - Nii Kwaku Bibini III, Chief of Oblogo, has released 10 plots of land to the Ga West District Assembly for the construction of a new primary, junior secondary school and a library. He made this known at Oblogo on Friday at a meeting with his elders as part of activities to mark Ghana's 45 years anniversary as a Republic.
Nii Bibini gave the assurance that he would give his fullest support to make the project a living testimony for all those who would contribute to its success. He said facilities especially accommodation and educational materials were needed to enhance quality teaching in addition to the introduction of incentive for teachers.
Nii Bibini also expressed concern about the poor sanitary condition of the Oblogo community and the lack of employment opportunities. He appealed to the District Assembly, the Member of Parliament for Weija Constituency and non-governmental organisations for assistance to solve the problems confronting Oblogo.
