The Chief of staff, Akosua Frema Osei Opare, on Saturday joined hundreds of mourners at the De temple social centre in Achimota to mourn, Hon Joe Donkor, a former deputy Minister under president Kufuor’s government.

Dignitaries who also attended the funeral ceremony included former Chief of Staff under president Kufuor’s administration, Kojo Mpianim, Mr Opoku Kyei ,some members of parliament , staff of SIC , NPP executives and members and the general public.

Hon Joe Donkor was elected Member of Parliament for Tano North in 1996 and 2004 respectively on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party. He lost his third term bid to the late Minister of Agriculture Ernest Akubuor Debrah.

Former president Kufuor made him a deputy minister for Education and Employment and Labour Relations

Hon Joe Donkor, was one time Managing Director of State Insurance Commission. He left behind a wife and seven children.
