Chinese Ambassador-designate to Ghana pays courtesy call to Tourism Minister

On July 5, 2018, Chinese Ambassador-designate to Ghana H.E. Mr Shi Ting Wang paid a courtesy call to the Ghanaian Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture Hon. Catherine Ablema Afeku.

Both sides exchanged views on China-Ghana relations, bilateral cooperation in culture and tourism etc. The Deputy Minister Dr Ziblim Barri Iddi was also present at the meeting.

Ambassador Wang thanked Minister Afekufor the long-standing support towards China-Ghana cultural exchanges.

He stated that the traditional friendship between the two countries is profound and the cooperation in humanities and other fields has yielded fruitful results.

China is willing to further strengthen bilateral collaboration in the construction of tourist & cultural facilities and in the exploration of tourism resources, to continuously enhance mutual understanding between the two countries.

Hon. Afeku warmly welcomed Ambassador Wang’s visit to the Ministry.

She expressed her gratitude to China for the numerous assistance in various ways in building the capacity of the Ministry and also for promoting exchanges and cooperation between Ghana and China.

Hon. Afeku welcomed Chinese enterprises to invest in Ghana's Tourism Industry.

She said she hopes Ghana will further strengthen cooperation with China in the fields of Tourism and Culture and lay a solid foundation of public support for the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
