Christ Business Network (CBN), a Christian movement, has been launched with the mandate of mobilising professionals within the Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI), for fellowship, networking and service.

The network’s objectives also include promoting unity among members, advocating both the spiritual and physical growth of the body of Christ; and empowering members to undertake useful and viable economic ventures.

Launching the network in Accra, Apostle Dr Stephen Kwame Amoani, the Chairman of the CACI, said Christians had been called to serve, to help build the Church and the capacities of their fellows; stating, “There is a need to prepare the youth to take up the leadership mantle to towards this mission”.

He said the theme for the occasion being, “Bridging the Gap - the Professional and Kingdom Business”, clearly defined the initiative as an immediate source of resource - both human and material, for the Body of Christ.

Apostle Amoani said the CACI was established with much focus on spiritual growth, however, it had now reached the level where the church had to blend spirituality with the intellectual issues to build a holistic Christian.

“God has blessed us with the youth; let’s give them the chance to serve and build God’s kingdom for the best of humanity”.

In view of this, Mr Theophilus Appiah- Agyei, President, Mr Anthony Arthur, Vice President, Mr Daniel Kwame Ampofo Adjei, Secretary, and Mr Samuel Todze, Treasurer, and other executives, have been mandated to steer the affairs of the network for the next three years.

The others are, Mr Nana Baffoe Ekuban, Financial Secretary, Mr Shadrack Mensah Ansah, Organising Secretary and Mrs Abigail Yeboah, Women’s Commissioner.

In an interview with Ghana News Agency (GNA), Apostle Dr Amoani said it was the duty of the leadership of every Church to give the youth the opportunity to serve; stating that, “Without the youth there will be no future”.

He said the CACI would be celebrating its 100th Anniversary next year, and that the youth would be playing vital roles in the event.

He said during the celebration, there would be teachings on how CACI was founded, its founding fathers, values, doctrines, practices and the vision of the church.

Speaking to the GNA, Mr Albert Owusu- Boateng, one of the founding fathers for CBN, said, “A country cannot develop without professionals contributing or bringing their expertise on board”.

He, therefore, urged professionals to offer themselves to service of Mother Ghana.
