Christians exhorted to uphold virtues in difficult times

Ho, Apr. 10, GNA - Togbe Kotoku XI, Paramount Chief of Kpenoe Traditional Area, on Friday exhorted Christians to uphold Christian values and virtues in the face of the difficulties arising out of the world credit crunch.

Togbe Kotoku who is also an Evangelist said Christians should be focused in faith and trust, believing that all would be well. Togbe Kotoku gave the exhortation when he delivered a Good Friday message to worshippers at Jubilee Christian Centre in Ho. He observed that many Christians were trying "short cuts" and getting involved in dubious acts for money, which were ungodly and must not be encouraged.

"Those attitudes do not please God and send us far away from his love, so we must resist such temptations and let Christian values and virtues guide our daily lives," Togbe Kotoku urged. Reverend James Noble Tulasi, Head Pastor of the Church advised Christians to let this Year's Easter celebrations bring a positive change into their attitudes towards work as well as their social and spiritual lives.

He asked them to exemplify the love of God to people around them as good Disciples of Christ. Reverend Tulasi advised Christians to manage their time well, knowing when to work, pray and play. He advised Christians to celebrate the event in moderation and reflect soberly on the significance of the period. 10 April 09
