Founder of Light House Chapel International, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills has lamented the rising dearth of men of God for ‘field and harvest work’.
Commenting on the situation, he attributed it to Christians spending a chunk of their time and resources on their families rather than on their maker.
In a tweet sighted by www.ghanaweb.com, the revered religious leader indicated that the development was negatively affecting the work of God because Christians “do things to please wives and children more than to please God.”
He further added that the field and harvest work was lacking certain quality labourers because of the occurrence.
“Today, Christians are honouring family more than they honour God. They do things to please wives and children more than to please God. Because of this, the mission field and harvest fields lack certain quality labourers. Lord help us!”
