Reverend Dr Richard Osei-Asante, the Head Pastor of the Madina Central Assemblies of God Church, has asked Christians to succumb to the dictates of God so He can use them for His work to save mankind.
In a sermon at the Church on Good Friday, Rev. Dr. Osei-Asante, who spoke on the topic: "On the Way to the Cross," entreated Christians to take cognisance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and lead lives worthy of emulation for the wellbeing of all.
He urged them to take advantage of the opportunities brought as a result of Christ’s sacrifice to offer services that would be of benefit to all mankind.
He advised the youth to avoid negative practices that could tarnish their image, which include stealing, indiscipline, truancy, and fornication. Christians all over the world are celebrating Easter, which marks the Crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ more than 2,000 years ago.
In Ghana, churches, on Good Friday, held conventions, church services and Stations of the Cross, which depicts Christ's agonising march to his crucifixion and death.
Christians believe that Christ's crucifixion brought salvation to the world and reconciled man with God.
