Christians urged to make insightful decisions

Reverend Father Dominic Yaw Asuahene, parish priest of the Nkoranza Catholic Church has urged Christians to be very insightful and thoughtful in decision-making, in order to achieve positive results.

“Be very cautious about the decision you make, since good decisions yield positive results, while bad ones have adverse effects on the progress of the individual,” he stressed.

Rev. Asuahene made the call in a sermon on the theme: “Decision making as a choice and free will for every individual,” at a Holy Mass at the Saint Dominic Catholic Church at Nkoranza.

Rev. Asuahene stated that decision-making was a free will given to every individual by God, hence everyone had the right to decide for himself/herself for the desired results.

He reiterated that despite that, humankind was at liberty to make their own choices and decisions, because not all of them were useful to their spiritual, health, psychological and socio-economic well-being.

Rev. Asuahene pointed out that the practice of sexual promiscuity, drunkenness, the in-take of hard drugs and addiction, armed- robbery and other criminal acts, were negative choices and bad decisions, the consequences of which affected not only the individuals but entire families and the society.

He emphasized the need for couples to remain faithful to each other, and be visionary enough in deciding the future of their children, since the right or wrong decision today about the children determined if the adults of tomorrow would be either assets or liabilities to their communities and the country at large.

Rev. Asuahene, therefore, advised the congregation not to allow themselves to be enslaved by worldly pleasures, but must “seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness, and all other things about life will be added.”
