Christians urged to share their God given gifts with society

Ho, Feb. 21, GNA - The Right Reverend Francis Amenu, Moderator of the General Assembly of the E.P. Church has exhorted Christians to strive to achieve perfection in love, kindness and honesty.

"Our possessions are gifts from God so let us share them with those in need", he said in a sermon at the inauguration of the 148th Pastoral District of the Church at the Ho SSNIT Flats on Sunday.

The new district with headquarters at the Ho SSNIT Flats comprises the Ho SSNIT flats branch, Adaklu Kodzobi, Adaklu Vodze, Adaklu Have and Adaklu Dzakpo.

The Rt. Rev. Amenu whose sermon was on the theme 93Be holy, Jesus Chri= st is our perfect example", said it was not enough to preach the gospel to people but to also express our love and kindness to them as demonstrated by Christ.

The Moderator lamented that instead of Christians demonstrating Christ-lik= e love for mankind they had allowed selfishness and greed to gain ground amon= g them. The Rt. Rev. Amenu said the E.P. Church would continue to play its collaborative role to help eradicate poverty and unemployment in society by establishing income generating ventures.

He advised Ghanaians, especially Christians to take a cue from what was happening in some sister African countries and lead honest and God-fearing lives, admonishing politicians to be wary of their utterances. An 11-member executive committee under the chairmanship of The Rev. Lawson Dzanku, District Pastor, was also inaugurated to steer the affairs of the new District.
