Church ends convention with prayers for peace

Nkoranza (B/A) April 13 (Adu Simon) GNA- A five-day convention of the Nkoranza zone of the Church of Pentecost has ended with prayers for peace and successful general elections in December.

The Reverend Sylvanus Kofi Alladeh, District Pastor, said the resurrection of Christ from death "gives hope to all Christians that there is eternal life after death if only you abide by Christ's teachings".

He urged members of the church to emulate Jesus Christ and his teachings.

Rev Alladeh asked them to let the teachings they had received at the convention help them to change their attitude from negative practices to good message to mankind.

Mr Kwame Ampofo-Twumasi, District Chief Executive for Nkoranza, commended the church for praying for peace and understanding in the country.

The youth of the various political parties should not allow themselves to be deceived by selfish and greedy politicians who could influence them with money and other inducements to cause confusion during electioneering campaigns, he said.

Mr Ampofo-Twumasi urged members of the church to let the teachings they received to reflect in their daily lives to convert others to become Christians.
