The Regional Superintendent of the Greater Accra West Assemblies of God, Rev. Dr. Ernest Birikorang has cautioned Christians to be careful about their expectations which often leads them to be always expecting miracles, signs and wonders from their pastors.

He made this assertion while preaching at an Induction Service of Rev. Blessing Mensah as the District Pastor of Kanshie District Assemblies of God in Accra at the New Covenant Assemblies of God, on Sunday.

Rev. Dr. Ernest Birikorang said the church has now turned to a theatre where pastors perform miracles with its audience as the congregation who sit comfortably and watch their pastors to do wonders for them.

The man of God told the congregants to be rather looking forward to hear the teachings of the gospel, which may straighten their paths as good believers in Christ.

Underscoring the need for great conviction among Assemblies of God members in the country, the Reverend Minster urged the church to be very principled and godly in their ways, in order not to copy blindly from the circular world.

Rev. Dr. Birikorang admonished Christians to be godly instead of being worldly and defiling themselves with irrelevant things of the world.

At the induction service, a solemn dedication service was done by some officiating Ministers of the Kaneshie District Assemblies of God to usher Rev. Blessing Mensah into office.

In addition, a consecration service was performed for the newly inducted District Pastor to function effectively in his tenure of service.

The colourful service was interspersed with a thrilling praise and worship led by the Tabernacle Praise Choir of New Covenant Assemblies of God under the leadership of Minister Rita Gyenfa who led the congregation to the throne by making it a Heaven fall on Earth affair.

A goodwill message was read on behalf of the New Covenant Assemblies of God by Deacon Ernest Amoah.

“You have made tremendous impact in our spiritual, moral and physical lives and have shouldered the daunting task of encouraging members to be of strong faith and nurturing members from baby to adult Christians” he stressed.

Rev. Dr. Harry S.M. Insaidoo, former Head Pastor of the North Kaneshie Assemblies of God read a goodwill message to Rev. Blessing Mensah where he encouraged him to be constantly sensitive to the Holy Spirit and rely on the word of God.

The much revered Rev. again read “I trust that under your leadership, you will continue working on the legacies of the outgoing District Pastor, Rev. Frederick Eduam, in order to build up the Kaneshie Assemblies of God district as a district of excellence”.

The District Pastor, Rev. Blessing Mensah would run the affairs of the Kaneshie District Assemblies of God with Rev. Jacob Botchwey and Rev. Price S. Kpan as Treasurer and Secretary of the district respectively.

Rev. Blessing Mensah thanked all for the support being given to him and pledged to serve the district to make it an outstanding district.
