Civil Society Foundation trains women in income-generation

Ejisu (Ash), July 28, GNA- About 24 women from 10 communities in the Ejisu-Juaben district of Ashanti have attended a four-day workshop on how to acquire skills for them to earn a living.

The communities are Kwamo, Fumesua, Adako-Jachie, Atia, Bomfa, Achiase, Krapa, Nobewam, Dumakwae and Onwe.

They were introduced to batik, tie and dye, soap making and other vocational skills.

The workshop was organised by Civil Society Foundation (CSF), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in collaboration with the Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC).

Speaking at the closing ceremony at the weekend, Mr Padmore Mensah, the Deputy Ejisu-Juaben District Co-ordinating Director, said the vocational training acquired was to prevent them from leading promiscuous lives.

He assured them that the assembly would assist them with funds, reminding them of the existence of the AIDS for them to lead decent lives.
