The Reverend Dr Steve Wengam, Lead Pastor of the Cedar Mountain Chapel of the Assemblies of Ghana Church International, has lauded women for their various contributions to the upbringing of children and the socio-economic development of their respective societies.

He said responsible women deserve to be honoured and appreciated because of the significant roles they play in the lives of their respective families and societies.

Rev. Dr Wengam said this at the end of the Women’s Ministry Week celebration of the church at East Legon in Accra.

He said women must be applauded and encouraged in all they did.

“It was very important for women to be prayerful and also avail themselves to their families, especially their children and all others in their care,” the Lead Pastor said.

He said being a mother was not an easy task and it was only the grace and mercy of God that can strengthen an individual to carry out her motherly responsibilities.

Rev. Dr Wengam commended the Ministry for their immense contributions towards the growth of the church and expressed the hope that they would continue to work harder than before towards the growth of the Church.

Dr Mrs Linda Doku, Head of the Koforidua Campus of the University of Ghana, Legon, advised mothers to be mindful of what they tell their children especially when they were angry.
