Clients of K'dua Hospital urged to help maintain it

Koforidua, April 8, GNA- The administrator of the Koforidua Regional Hospital, Mr Lucio Dery has appealed to people who visit the hospital to help maintain the facilities at the hospital for the benefit of all. He condemned the recent happenings whereby some relations of patients had resorted to destroying mosquito nets at newly rehabilitated wards of the hospital to enable them pass items through the windows to their relations on admission at the wards.

Mr Dery warned that, anybody caught by the hospital administration doing such things would be handed over to the police for prosecution and urged the security men at the hospital to be on the lookout for those who engaged in such "disgraceful acts."

He was speaking at the presentation of uniforms at the end of the first phase of a series of training programmes organised for security personnel of the hospital to help improve upon their performance.

Mr Dery advised the relatives of patients who visit the hospital to desist from littering the compound but put all their wastes in the waste bins placed at vantage locations on the hospital compound.

He pleaded with taxi drivers who drive patients to the hospital to co-operate with the security instructions and avoid driving to restricted areas.

The chief security officer of the hospital, Mr Daniel Acheampong said the personnel were being taken through the use of some of the equipment that they would be using in the course of their work.
