The Human Rights Court has granted the owner of the collapsed Melcom building a self-recognizance bail of five thousand Ghana cedis.
Nana Boadu Nkansah Ayeboafo is facing a charge of negligence which caused the collapse of the Melcom Mall complex that killed at least 14 persons.
The court yesterday adjourned the case between Nana Ayeboafo and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
The property owner has been in the custody of the Bureau of National Investigations since last week.
His lawyer Samuel Atta Akyea says the judge, Justice Essel Mensah, disagreed with the decision to hold his client any further.
