Collins Dauda donates PPEs to all health centers in Asutifi South Constituency

As part of the effort of the leadership of the opposition national democratic congress (NDC) towards the fight against the coronavirus, the parliamentary candidate of the Asutifi South Constituency, Alhaji Collins Dauda on Tuesday 14th April donated PPEs worth millions of Ghana Cedis to all the health centres in his constituency.

The health facilities which include, St. Elizabeth Hospital a major hospital in the Ahafo region which is located at Hwideim, Nkasiem Chip compound, Dadiesoaba health facility, Achrensua health facility and Sienkyem health facility.

The items donated include two thousand Hand sanitizers, seventy tissues, five infrared thermometers, ten sets of protective clothes one thousand nose mask, twenty-seven veronica buckets in addition to the PPEs Hon. Alhaji Collins Dauda has also taken all the cost of the media for the education and campaigning against Coronavirus. He has also donated one of his pickups to be branded with Coronavirus stickers to be used for public education in the villages within the constituency to create awareness on the preventive measures towards the fight against coronavirus. Not living the priest and pastors behind he has promised to take all the cost of the men of God who will stage to pray for the eradication of the Virus any amount they so desire to do that. In addition to the health centres, the Hon. MP also distributed sanitizers and nose mast to Pragya drivers (Tricycle), taxi drives, the police station, churches, market women shopkeepers in all the constituency.

During his speech, he emphasized that the coronavirus knows no person. That is the virus doesn’t know Asanteman, Gurumaman, Moseman and it has no political colours. So we should all abide by the directives of the president of the republic. Such as regular hand washing, not touching the mouth, eyes and nose, use of hand sanitizers and staying in the home to avoid the spread.

He also urged the media not to tolerate any politician who will use the virus as part of political gains from their studios if they encounter any such person. He also entreated the health facilities to make sure the items will be uses to serve the purpose it is intended to use for.

The administrators of the health facilities in receiving the items thank the Hon. Member of parliament of such a wonderful donation upon donations.

The Chief of Hwideim traditional council in his speech thanks to the MP and said it is no surprise to him because he knows what Hon. Alhaji Collins Dauda can do. From there the Hon. MP pays a call to the omahene of Hwideim and the Zongo Chiefs at their palace.

In attendance were the administrator of St. Elizabeth Hospital, the representatives of the Chief and few party executives.
