The Member of Parliament for Agona East Constituency in the central region, Queenster Pokuah Sawyerr says that the police and relevant security agencies have demonstrated by their actions that they are not on top of the kidnapping cases in the country and cannot produce the three Takoradi girls who went missing last year.

For her, it is immaterial whether the CID Boss Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah resigns or not but what remains important to the country and the families in particular is for the kidnapped girls to be reunited with their relatives.

“The government and the police should tell us bluntly about the conditions of the girls whether they are alive or dead. The parents must know their fate about the kidnapped girls so that they can end the nightmare and the anxiety,” she stated.

The female legislator made the comments during a visit to the kidnapped families at Diabene and Kansawrodo all in the Essikado-Ketan Constituency.

She later presented a bible, toiletries, provisions and an undisclosed cash amount to the three families in three separate meetings.

However speaking during a visit by the MP to commiserate with the families one Kojo Obeng stated that COP Addo Danquah should have had all the facts before addressing the media on April 1,2019.

He questioned why the Takoradi District Police Commander, Supt Peter Ofori Donkor and the CID investigating the case have all been transferred.
