A group calling itself the coalition of non-posted Community Health Nurses has reminded President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of his promise to assign them to the various health facilities in the country to begin work.
In as release issued and signed by its executives, the group said for fifteen months its members have graduated from their various institutions of study but have literally become dependents to their parents and guardians.
“It is with a sad heart that over 15 months after completing school, we are still in the house at this very moment without been posted. Our eyes are always filled with tears because of our predicament”
They are worried the president in his State of Nation Address did not mention the issue in the wake of their recruitment being in limbo.
“As it stands now, our recruitment is in limbo following the recent suspension of the recruitment process by the Hon minister of Health, Dr Agyemang Manu. He came out clearly on air that the reason for the suspension is not about financial clearance since he was given the go ahead to recruit us from the Ministry of Finance some weeks ago, neither is it the budget because the provision have been made for us already but needs to study our documents”
