The chiefs and people of Manso-Adubia in the Amansie West District, have taken delivery of 200 bags of cement in support of the construction of a police station.

They are implementing the project through self-help – providing labor and voluntary financial contributions.

The bags of cement were a gift from the Amansie west Rural Bank.

Presenting the building material to the community at a ceremony, Mr. Baffour Kumah, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, said it was in response to a request made to the bank.

He said as a good corporate citizen it would continue to be associated with efforts at bringing development and improving the quality of life of the people.

Mr. Peter Atta Asenso, the assembly member, said the completion of the police station would help to reduce crime and improve security in the area.

He thanked the bank for the gesture and gave the assurance that the cement would be used for the intended purpose.

He used the occasion to appeal to the Health Ministry to upgrade the health centre in the community into a hospital.
