A lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is warning the New Patriotic Party government not to compare itself to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), as doing that means they have failed too.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Angel FM with Kwame Tanko, the former Dean of the faculty of Allied Health Sciences who is also known to be NPP-inclined said that the Akufo-Addo government should stop comparing its competence and incompetence to the NDC as the NDC has never been the standard for the NPP and it becomes worrying when it does so.

“We can’t be quiet and we should not be quiet over this, the NDC is not the standard of the NPP and most importantly the ultimate responsibility rests with the President to ensure that things are properly checked,” he said.

He also lamented on the general hardship in the country, calling on government to take steps to arrest rising cost of fuel.

Kwame, this is not the expectation of Ghanaians, people are not happy, I am not happy. I am disappointed and I’m saying it as it is.” He added.

Readers will recall how Dr Addae Mensa turned down an appointment from the Akufo-Addo government to be the Ghana Standards Authority boss.
