Comrades of CPP root for Dr Edmund Delle

Accra, Nov. 18, GNA - The Comrades of CPP (Co-CPP), an Nkrumaist group of students from the university of Ghana has congratulate Dr Edmund Delle, National Chairman of the CPP for the tireless manner he has steered the affairs of the party to its present state of new celebrity.

A statement issued in Accra on Saturday and signed by its leader Mr Leslie Plahar, said everyone is now crying for the CPP to win power and to continue the wonderful works of Comrade Dr Kwame Nkrumah of blessed memory.

"We are enthused by the dexterous leadership exhibited and the tenacity of purpose shown by Dr Edmund Delle in brining the CPP to his height of popularity".

The statement said at the time Dr Delle took over the leadership of the party in 2003, the CPP was at its lowest ebb in popularity to the extend that the party was considered as being on the verge of total extinction.

"But he was able to make the cockerel crow aloud again and we the comrades have decided to root for him to be elected as the National chairman of the CPP for a second term.

"In this regard, we have launched our campaign for him from the campus of University of Ghana, Legon, in order to ensure that Dr Edmund Delle remains as National Chairman of the Great CPP during election 2008, which promises to be exciting and therefore would need his leadership wits and prowess".

The group appealed to delegates who would be voting at the National congress to vote for Comrade Dr Edmund Delle. "Vote Dr Edmund Delle for National Chairman and he would ensure that the presidential candidates of the party would be in the Flagstaff House comes January 2009.
