Constrictive pericarditis patient finally gets $3500 for heart operation

Philanthropists in the space of the world, "Insha Allah Orphanage" in Italy, Ghana Tarkwa and Kamgbunli in the Western Region, have supported Alhaji Ibrahim Suleman for a pericardiectomy operation at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital.

The fee for the operation which is to be performed in the coming days was pegged at $3500, equivalent to GHS 18,025 with personal terms already agreed by both parties.

Professor Martin Tamatey, a doctor at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital in charge of the affairs of the patient told family members "he has the above diagnosis which is affecting his life and making it difficult for him to have a normal life, and must undergo an operation called Pericardiectomy".

"Insha Allah Orphanage" group hosted by hearted Iddrisa Ali Nuhu and his prime wife Asena Ali Nuhu in Italy, once again endeared themselves quickly to salvage the patient.

The patient picked up the constrictive Pericarditis sickness on the course of plying his trade years back in Tarkwa on temporal basis, however, his positive management style saw him wed one wife with two female children in his early parenthood.

The sickness has threatened his chances of catering for his nuclear family currently at Kamgbunli, but Ibrahim together with his wife Aisha Abdul Malik, a dressmaker managed to suit up and go the full tidings up till date.

Efforts by the extended family led by Alhaji Dauda Suleman Ackah, the Tarkwa based man, Nuhu Mustapha(Kramo)the Prestea talisman and the people of Kamgbunli community have spurred he and his family even under those circumstances.
