‘Construct walls around schools in Baatsonaa’

Nii Borketey Ansuade, Chief of Baatsonaa, has appealed to the Tema Metropolitan, and Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal, Assemblies, to, as a matter of urgency, construct walls around basic schools within Baatsonaa, to prevent them from being encroached by criminals.

Nii Ansuade who made the appeal in an interaction with the Ghana News Agency at his residence, expressed regret that for some time now, criminals have taken advantage of the absence of the walls, to engage in all sorts of social vices at the schools’ premises.

The situation, he said, has become a source of worry to the traditional authorities, and was optimistic that the two Assemblies would come together, and respond swiftly to his humble appeal, in order to save the schools from any embarrassment.

Nii Baatsonaa, also urged the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service, to provide schools in the area with teaching and learning materials, to enhance education.
