The founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Mensa Otabil has encouraged his congregants not to be afraid or panic in the wake of the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

Instead, he has given his congregants hope that they will survive the pandemic and life will be restored to normalcy.

“Don’t fear, don’t be afraid, its something that has hit us, it’s not the end of the world, we’ll survive this and we’ll be alive, and the world will continue to go on and, so, let’s do the right things, let’s stop the spread of the virus and let's get back to our normal lives as quickly as its practically possible,” Pastor Otabil said in a Facebook video inviting his congregants to worship with him online due to the ban on church services.

Meanwhile, Ghana has recorded 16 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

At a prayer breakfast meeting held at the Jubilee House, the seat of the nation’s presidency, on Thursday, 19 March 2020, President Akufo-Addo expressed his belief that Ghanaians, with their abiding faith in God, will overcome the coronavirus pandemic, adding that “this, too, will pass”.
