Communication Team Member of the ruling New Patriotic Party Solomon Kusi Appiah, has lashed out at the NDC for expressing doubts about the Covid -19 recovery figures.

Speaking as Panel member of Kingdom FM’s Anopa Nkomo, the NPP Communication Team Member described the act as “shameful” and “disgraceful” attempts by the opposition party NDC – to score cheap political points over the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

He however, accused NDC for engaging in cheap propaganda which must not be tolerated.

“NDC always create their own trouble and speak on it. They are jealous about the sudden rise in the number of Covid 19 recovery figures”, he added.

Making reference to history of Ghana’s politics, he indicated that;

“NDC is the weakest opposition party in the country. They make false accusations and noise. NDC is the only political party that always criticizes good new policies”

Speaking on the same platform, he therefore commended Akufo-Addo and his administration for the prudent measures and efforts put in place to help curb and fight coronavirus pandemic in the country.

“If we want this country to develop and improve, then we need to say “NO” to the incompetent NDC”, he said.

Former President John Mahama’s aide, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, expressed doubts about the figures calling for probe.

She posted on Twitter: “How the hell did 790 more people recover overnight. We need to put these numbers to strict proof.”
