The founder and leader of Glorious Word Ministry International Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah has joined the fight against the deadly coronavirus with a donation to the Odorkor lorry station.

The man of God on Friday, in the company of some church members presented veronica buckets, liquid soaps, dustbins, hand sanitizers and detergents to the leadership of the station.

The objective of the donation is to make the items accessible to drivers and passengers in the Odorkor vicinity and also contribute to the bigger objective of curbing the virus in Ghana.

The choice of Odorkor as the beneficiary of donation was informed by the location of his church which situated in the same vicinity.

Speaking to the media after the donation, Reverend Owusu Bempah urged Ghanaians to adhere to the preventive protocols advised by government.

He also called for support and prayers for the president, health officials and all individuals at the frontline of the coronavirus war.

“As a church, we’ve over the years embarked on numerous charity projects. Last year we registered over 2000 people on the NHIS. We also did renovations works at Ankaful. We are with you here and we believe this station is quite popular and a lot of people come here. We are here to present these items to help the fight against the virus”.

“We must all adhere to the safety measures because that’s the only way we can survive. We should also pray for the president and all people involved. This virus will not last, it will go very soon”, he concluded.

Ghana’s count as of Friday is 136 confirmed cases and three deaths.

The government says all persons are responding to treatment with some awaiting final negative test.
