Church of Christ Preacher, Daniel Owusu Asiamah has scoffed at prophets in Ghana over their inability to foresee the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Empire 102.7fm News in Takoradi, the tough speaking international preacher wondered why none of the prophets in Ghana could tell about the emergence of the virus.

“This Coronavirus has really exposed the so-called prophets in Ghana, so they did not see it coming, I also tell Ghanaians that we have no genuine prophets in Ghana, they only deceive the followers with that title, they organise crusades and heal the afflicted, sick and the dead, why are they not healing people who are infected with the disease, they are all charlatans”.

He further argued that the truth about prophets in the bible especially, the old testament is that God appointed prophets mainly to come and prophesy about the coming of Jesus Christ and also gave the prophet to Children of Israel so that they know what God wanted them to do.

“Now, today if anybody claims to be a prophet like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel and the likes, I’m saying he or she is a liar, everybody should read Luke 16 vrs 16, the last prophet God brought was John the Baptist, the prophets in the Old Testament are different from that of the New testament my argument is that in the New Testament the prophets were mere church members”, he buttressed his point.

He commended the President for the national day of fasting and prayers to seek the face of God in the fight against COVID 19.
