John Boadu, General Secretary of the governing NPP has chastised his colleague general-secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia saying he (Asiedu Nketia) has no moral right to speak about corruption-related issues since he himself is corrupt, ABC News can report.

This reaction comes in response to Asiedu Nketia and the NDC’s press conference that sought to taint the integrity of the President and the NPP in terms of corruption.

Asiedu Nketia who spoke to the press on Tuesday enumerated a number of alleged corruption cases recorded under this NPP government to buttress their corruption tag against the president.

Asiedu Nketia further highlighted a number of appointees who had been cleared by agencies the president had earlier referred such corruption allegations to insisting that the ‘clearing’ of such persons suggested the President was complicit in the alleged crimes.

However, John Boadu who believes in the adage that, “he who calls for equity must come with clean hands” contends that the General-Secretary of the largest opposition party is not morally upright enough to comment on any corruption-related issue. According to John Boadu, Asiedu Nketia has engaged in deals in the past that does not qualify him to speak on issues that border on corruption.

Stating a case to prove his assertion, John Boadu averred that during the tenure of former President Mahama, he appointed Asiedu Nketia as Board Chairman of Bui Power Authority who subsequently awarded a contract to his own company to supply blocks for the construction of the Bui Dam.

According to Mr Boadu, the prices of the blocks produced and supplied to the state by the Asiedu Nketia-owned company were so exorbitant that it made his blocks the most expensive one could come ever come across in the entire country.

The NPP General Secretary contends that this act of fraud perpetuated by General Mosquito makes him unfit to cry foul about corruption since he is personally corrupt.
