Corruption: Fix it and stop complaining - A Plus reacts to NPP press conference

Outspoken musician and politician, Kwame Asare Obeng, better known as A Plus has taken a swipe at the ruling New Patriotic Party for organising a press conference to tell Ghanaians how corrupt the previous administration was.

He questioned what the party seeks to achieve by organising the press conference.

“You are telling us so that we do what? We for go and arrest them for you or what?”

In a rebuttal to a press conference organised by the main opposition, National Democratic Congress on Monday to point out what they describe as corrupt practices by the current administration, the NPP organised another presser on Tuesday to point out corrupt activities under the previous administration.

But A Plus believes the NPP’s press conference is a misplaced priority as the party has been in the position to take action against the people they claim are corrupt for the past three years.

“Almost 3 years after you were given power by the good people of Ghana to investigate and prosecute former appointees of the NDC you accused of being corrupt, you are there organizing press conferences to tell us how corrupt they were. After giving 180 million Ghana cedis to Martin Amidu you are there organizing press conferences to talk about corruption. Ah!!! Wait ooo. You are telling us so that we do what? We for go and arrest them for you or what?,” he wrote.
