Count-Down to the Crime Great Escape for Prez. Kuffour

2 days more For Kuffour to Escape The Gallows

After 8years of Causing Huge Financial Loss to The state, blatant abuse of power, collection of Kickbacks, Human Right Abuses and arbitral use of political power.

As he plays hide and seek with Court Bailiffs in a ‘last killer’ show.
President John Agyekum Diewuo Kuffuor should be popping Champaign by Saturday morning when constitutionally, he will be immune from any civil or criminal prosecution, by any one in respect of crimes he has committed before or during his eight years rule of Ghana, which some political tink-tanks believe was abysmal and most regrettable of all the regimes that have governed Ghana.
But for the last minute writ, filed last week at an Accra High Court by NDC lawyer David Anang on behalf of his colleague Lawyer Chris Akummey, the ‘sleeping eye’ Ex-President would have escaped justice without answering any question on how he became arguably one of Ghana’s richest citizen in a speck of eight years after he walked to power in 2001 almost a bankrupt politician.
Not only did his regime oversee the gruesome murder of 42 royals from Dagbon in the northern region, the assassination of a leading CPP member in the northern region, persecution of his perceived political enemies. Mr. Kuffuor was alleged to have committed copious economic crimes through abuse of law and due process to enrich himself, his family and cronies which would have attracted the brush of the law in any serious country.
Unlike his predecessor, Mr. Kufuor is alleged to own several accounts and properties across the globe, whilst he gave little or no respect to the laws of the country when he was the President of Ghana.
An Accra-based lawyer, Mr. Chris Arcmann-Ackumey, had sued Mr. Kufuor, His Chief of staff, Kowdjo Mpiani and Dr. Kofi Amoah, seeking a declaration that former President John Agyekum Kufuor and the two respectively, have caused financial loss to the state for their roles, in the payment of GH¢42 million judgment debt to Mr. Alfred Woyome.
As you read, bailiffs have mounted an all day, all night search to find the Ex-President and served the writ on him to no avail.
The Writ if finally served would be the only means to bring the Ex-President to justice to answer to the numerous crimes against the people of Ghana who made it possible for him to become a president.
There are many more reported and unreported allegations of corruption and blatant abuse of power which if triggered by the close of Friday January 6 2012, could pin Kuffuor down to the dock.
Sometime in 2006, the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Haruna Esseku, accused then President Kufuor of collecting and keeping “kickbacks” from contractors and disbursed them, in a non-transparent manner to Party officials at the Castle, according to the “Esseku-gate” tapes.

President Kufuor allegedly made a secret trip to the USA, in a move to try to secure the release of the heroin-trafficking NPP MP for Nkoranza North, Eric Amoateng, and reportedly solicited the assistance of the firm of Karl Rove, the infamous President Bush strategist popularly referred to as “Bush's Brain”.
“Ms. Giselle Yazji, Lebanese-American former Economic Adviser to President Kufuor, confirmed the long-circulating rumor, that she had a torrid, rollicking and romping one-year love affair with President Kufuor out of which she bore the President a set of male twins whom the President named as John Kufuor and Philip Kufuor, after himself and his Defence Minister brother Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor whose Christian name is “Philip””.

Chief John Addo Kufuor, 41, son of President Kufuor, in a face saving episode claimed that he has put together a consortium of Banks led by Prudential Bank to purchase the 7-storey, multi-million dollar, ultra-modern, uncompleted Hotel situated adjacent to the private residence of his father. Nobody believed the story, and by far the greater majority of Ghanaians are convinced that the Hotel actually was bought by President Kufuor, using his son as a front man, especially when the President's paramour, Giselle Yazji, stepped forward to claim that she negotiated the deal on behalf of the President. The press quickly! named the edifice “Hotel Kufuor”.
