He told the court that Mumuni and his accomplices then took the said items brandishing the cutlass on the wall and threatening anyone, who dare to approach them and took to their heels. Chief Superintendent of Police Tuaruka said the complainant reported the matter to the police and during investigations; Mumuni was arrested at his hideout at Kokomba market.

He said when his kiosk was searched, the complainant’s Techno tablet phone was found and Mumuni admitted the offence in his investigation caution statement and mentioned Ali Mohammed, as an accomplice, who was arrested later.

He said in the caution statement Ali admitted the offence and said he collaborated with Mumuni. The third accused person, Mohammed pleaded not guilty and would re-appear in court on August 4.
