James Nfum, a driver, has appeared before the Nsawam District Magistrate Court charged with murder.
His plea was not taken and he will reappear on January 14 next year.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Alex Cosmos told the court that the deceased, Salomey Damakpo, a 22-year-old pregnant kindergarten teacher of the Otoase Presbyterian Primary School, was a girlfriend of Nfum.
Chief Inspector Cosmos said the wife of the accused, Linda Vivizraku warned the deceased a number of times to discontinue her relationship with her husband.
He said on Wednesday at about 1900 hours the deceased received a phone call from Nfum to meet him at the outskirts of the town and after the meeting Damakpo did not return home until her body was found in the bush the next day.
The prosecution said the accused went into hiding but was later arrested by the Nsawam Police at his hideout.
Chief Inspector Cosmos said the wife of the accused was arrested by the Police in connection with the death of Damakpo but has been granted a bail to report at the Police Station every day.
The prosecution said the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Police mortuary in Accra for autopsy while Police investigations continue.
