Criminals operating on Tema school compounds arrested

Tema, July 04, GNA - The Tema Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police Daniel Laryea Odai, has warned criminals against using school compounds in Tema for illegal activities. Mr Odai told the GNA that he led a team of police personnel in Tema in a dawn swoop to arrest a total of 33 suspects on schools compounds in Tema and Ashaiman last Friday.

They were rounded up at Tema Community Two Mexico Primary, Tema Community One Site Two and Ashaiman Old Tulaku area. Mr Odai said dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and cocaine were found on them.

Chief Inspector Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, Tema Regional Police Public Relations Officer, said the suspects would be put before court after investigations.
