Former President John Kufuor has advised members of the New Patriotic Party to be cautious of criticising the party in public.
Speaking at the party’s ongoing delegates congress in Cape Coast, Mr. Kufuor said: “I want to entreat each and every one of us not to, and let me repeat, not to say or do anything or conduct ourselves in any way that will destabilize the party.
“If you have any criticisms, please render the criticism indoors. You don’t wash dirty linen in public”.
Also speaking at the event, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said the NPP is working to bring prosperity to Ghanaians.
“In the 8 years of the NDC economic management, how many taxes did they reduce? We promised to restore macroeconomic stability and we have done that in just 7 months….The era of reckless borrowing which increased our debt to GDP ratio from 32% at the end of 2008 to 73% at the end of 2016 and placed a huge burden on this country, thankfully is over”.
He added: “We have completed the process of procuring and we are about to roll out a digital property addressing system in Ghana. There is a lot of work that has gone on into it”.
