The Graphic in a front page story reports that President Jerry Rawlings' four-day official visit to Japan reached its peak yesterday when he addressed a well-attended investment forum on Ghana. The forum, the Graphic says, brought together the cream of the Japanese business community who listened with rapt attention as President Rawlings and his delegation told them about investment opportunities in Ghana. In another front page story headlined: "Police to probe Shamo's death", the Graphic says the Tema Community Two Police have started investigation into the sudden death of Shamo Quaye, a former Accra Hearts of Oak and national football player. Assistant Superintendent of Police Mr. John K. Agoado, Community Two District Commander told newsmen that the action followed a report to the police by Mr. Kwaku Quaye, father of the deceased, that his son died in the house. Meanwhile, the graphic says post-mortem on Shamo's body cannot be done at the Tema General Hospital as it has no qualified pathologist. GRI

Baby thief jail four years", is the headline of a back page story in the Graphic which says Abena Fosuaah, the baby thief who gave herself away when she walked to a local maternity home to be examined, has been jailed four years in hard labour by a Kumasi Circuit Tribunal. Fosuaah who appeared before the tribunal on a charge of child stealing, pleaded guilty and was convicted on her own plea. The Graphic says the tribunal, in passing the sentence, said it took a serious view of the conduct of Fosuaah and was sentencing her to serve as a deterrent to others. GRI
