Mr Cosmos Boakye Frimpong who spoke on behalf of the award winners, expressed their gratitude to the DHMT for the honour done them and pledged their preparedness to continue to work harder to improve health in the district.

He appealed to the government to give incentive packages to the community based surveillance volunteers to boost their moral to continue to work as the training they had received could be very well utilised in diverse ways to the benefit of the communities.

Mr Frimpong also requested the authorities to provide the health workers with bicycles or motorbikes to enable them reach areas in the district, which were inaccessible for the proper monitoring, supervision and recording of health activities.
