DKM customers take on President Mahama

After waiting with annoyance for a long time without any message from the Bank of Ghana or the government on how they would get back their lost investments, aggrieved customers of defunct micro finance companie: DKM, Jaster Motors, God is Love and others at Nkoranza, yesterday invoked the anger of the gods against President John Dramani Mahama.

They claimed that the president had failed to hour his promise to allow the bank to pay back their monies which the micro finance companies had misappropriated.

At a press conference yesterday at Nkoranza in the Brong-Ahafo Region, leader of the aggrieved customers, Kofi Sarpong, said if President Mahama could act swiftly to release the Montie 3 after a court of competent jurisdiction had jailed them for threatening judges with death, he should equally act urgently to allow BoG to pay back their monies because some of them had lost their lives as a result of the loss of their lifetime investments.

He then went ahead to pour libation to curse the president and former Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Kofi Warmpah and leaders of all the micro finance companies who misused their investments.

It will be recollected that during a recent ‘government for the people’ forum at Sunyani to account to the people of the region since the NDC government came into office, Regional Minister Eric Opoku refused to comment on the issue, only to lie to the people that the Bank of Ghana was about to hold a press conference the following day and clandestinely prevented his people from asking questions on the issue.
